The Ad(s) That Doesn't Make Sense

Have you heard that commercial that says, "We'll beat anyone's price or its free!"? If you think about it, there is a thing to this phrase...

Let's say you found a bed at Mattress City(I just made this up at the last moment) for $500, and the store that has the commercial with that phrase(let's call it Larry's) sold the exact mattress for $600. You went to Larry's with proof and everything so the worker will have to beat the price. So, in order to beat the price, Larry's wants to sell that bed to you for $499.99. Technically, they did beat the price, not by much, but nevertheless, Larry's price was cheaper than Mattress City's price. If you're lucky, you might get it for less. When you head on to Larry's, don't be confident that Larry is going to give you a free mattress. You're conversation will probably not go something like..

You: Hey, I found that Mattress City sells this mattress for less, and in your commercial you said that you will beat the price or else give me the mattress for free. SO YOU BETTER GIVE ME A BETTER PRICE OR ELSE!!

Worker: Oh...I completely understand.  I'LL NEVER LOWER THE PRICE FOR YOU, SO YOU CAN GET YOUR A*S A FREE MATTRESS INSTEAD OF PAYING $499.99!!! WE DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY FOR THIS MATTRESS!!!!!!!!

And when you go there, you sorta would expect a free mattress if you can find a place that sells the same mattress for less.

So can you can see in the conversation the the rude worker (as some would say), would be willing to give you a free mattress instead of gaining $499.99 from you. <--I think they would rather take some of your money instead of giving you it for no cost..

I've seen the Magic Tap commercial, and it seems amazing that its hard to not spill milk. I mean, SERIOUSLY, IT'S LIKE THE PEOPLE HAVE VERY SLOW REFLEXES..THEY KEEP ON POURING AND POURING UNTIL THE TABLE IS ALL WET..
